New Delhi: The Noida Police have warned commuters of traffic disruptions along the Delhi-Noida border as the protesting farmers are set to take out a tractor march today.
Agitating farmers under the aegis the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) and Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) have announced the tractor march.
The BKU is learnt to be coursing tractors along the Yamuna Expressway from Mehndipur in Rabupura to Falaida, NDTV reported.
In view of the planned march, the police have clamped prohibitory orders under Section 144 alongside deploying additional troops at border points of Delhi and Noida.
The tractor march will reportedly move along the Yamuna Expressway, Luharli Toll Plaza, and Mahamaya Flyover.
To tackle probable traffic disruptions, the Noida Police have laid out a traffic advisory for commuters in the region.
The guidelines direct vehicles from Chilla border to Delhi to use the Sector 14A flyover via Golchakkar Chowk Sector-15, according to the report.
Vehicles from the DND border are directed to use the elevated route via the Film City flyover in Sector 18.
Also, vehicles from Kalindi border have to take Mahamaya flyover via Sector 37.
Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) is observing 'Quit WTO Day' today, seeking the government to pressure developed countries to exempt agriculture from the World Trade Organization discussions.
