Hyderabad: Telangana Congress President Revanth Reddy will take oath as the Chief Minister of the state on Wednesday, December 6, The Free Press Journal reported.
The Congress is coming to power riding on an emphatic victory in the Assembly polls.
Revanth Reddy is widely considered to be the architect of the Congress victory thanks to his rapport with party workers.
Reddy helped the party emerge as the choice alternative for the ruling BRS, whipping up anti-incumbancy.
The Congress thus ousted the BRS from power winning 64 seats in the 119-member assembly house.
The BRS, which had been in power in the state for 10 years, managed to claw back only 39 seats.
The BJP and the AIMIM won 8 and 7 seats respectively, while CPI won one seat in the November 30 polls.
