New Delhi: People travelling between Chennai and Bengaluru couldn't be happier to see the stylish Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat train waiting for them at the MGR Central Railway station here.
The express train, one of the first indigenously-built high-speed trains, will start trial run at Chennai's MG Ramachandran Central Railway station today.
The fifth Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off by Prime Minister Modi alongside opening the second terminal of Kempegowda International Airport during his visit to Bengaluru on November 11.
PM Modi will unveil the 108-foot-tall statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda who was the founder of Bengaluru, according to India Today.
Vande Bharat train comes equipped with several modern features including automatic doors, GPS-activated audio-visual information system, hotspot Wi-Fi for passengers and comfy seats. The executive class offers rotating chairs as well.
Leaving MGR Channai Central at 5.50 am, the train will arrive at Bengaluru City Junction at 10:25 am; the train will arrive at its next destination Mysuru at 12.30 am, leaving Bengaluru at 10.30 am.
