Noida: Stand-up comedian Sundeep Sharma shared on social media a scary experience of having been at gunpoint after a show in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida.
Sharma and fellow comedian Saurab Pandey were returning after the show when a man obstructed the road in Sec 104 recently, NDTV reported.
The man stood in the middle of the dark road holding a gun in his hand, Sharma wrote on X, alerting the UP police.
‘So we were at gunpoint in the middle of a secluded road in Noida Sec 104. After the show me and @comicsaurabh were returning and a man stood in the middle of the dark road holding a gun in his hand,’ the post read.
The man was smiling, signalling the comedians to stop their vehicle, he added.
Now an SUV stopped right behind them before the man approached the car, he wrote.
Giving more details, he said ‘I aggressively shouted while holding my mobile phone, which I thought was also a potential self-defence weapon in the situation, he looked at us went to the side of the road and signalled us to go, all this while smiling.’
Sharma alerted UP police to take note of the incident, saying that the police could save some lives, adding ‘We did not open the car windows, the car doors were locked.’
