Ranchi: Amid tensions mounting over Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's MLA ship due to a looming disqualification, senior BJP leader in the state Nishikant Dubey slammed Soren's government calling "Alibaba aur Chalis Chor" (Alibaba and forty thieves), Asian News International reported.
On Thursday, the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) MLAs Jharkhand had requested Governor Ramesh Bais to make clarifications on the speculations on Soren's MLA ship. The Election Commission had submitted its opinion on CM Soren before the Governor on alleged violation of electoral norms.
According to Dubey, neither the Governor nor the Election Commission has sent a letter to disqualify Soren's legislatorship, but the CM and his MLA's scared of losing his CM post.
Dube said that anyone who constantly talks about the fear of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) cases is a thief. An honest person need not worry about both, he said, adding that he is challenging Soren for mid-term polls.
"If he is accusing BJP, I want to ask him what did we do? Did we flee the Maha Dalit in Palamu? Did we burn the dumka girl? Did we get the tribal girl in Ranchi raped? All these incidents have happened due to his administration only," ANI quotes the BJP MP from Godda.
On Friday, Chattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel accused the BJP of unfair tactics such as stealing other parties' MLAs and trying to topple elected governments. He said that BJP uses power and money to poach leaders of opposition parties.
