New Delhi: Time is ticking away after the Enforcement Directorate sent summons to Sonia Gandhi to appear before it on 8 June.
It is not yet known if she will appear before ED tomorrow, as the Congress leader is still down with Covid 19, according to The Indian Express.
The party last week, announcing her testing positive to Covid, said she would follow ED's directions.
The Party's communication chief Randeep Surjewala had hoped at the time that Gandhi would recover by then.
ED summoned her over a money laundering case linked to the National Herald newspaper.
The Indian Express reported that she might seek exemption over health grounds.
Rahul Gandhi was asked to appear before ED on June 2 but the Wayanad MP sought fresh appointment, as he was out of the country.
The Enforcement Directorate has issued summons directing him to appear before it on June 13.
