Chennai: DMK has asked Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai to show the sales slip of the expensive limited edition watch he was wearing.
Annamalai, who emerged recently as the major voice of the BJP in South India, was reportedly wearing Bell & Ross limited edition Rafale watch.
Minister Senthil Balaji said only 500 pieces of the Rafale watch were made for the French company, costing Rs 5 lakh.
Senthil Balaji asked Annamali whether he could share the sales slip of the watch, while dubbing Annaimalai as a man who claimed to be possessing only four goats.
The Bell & Ross Rafale limited edition watch was brought out by the company to celebrate the Dassault fighter aircraft.
Annamalai said that he will be wearing the watch till he dies, adding that it is a collector's edition and claimed his watch is the 149th piece of the 500 watches.
The leaders reportedly said "Who else can buy except us Indians? For our nation, this watch was made using parts from Rafale aircraft by Dassault. Only after Rafale entered, the rules of war changed, increasing India's reach substantially", India Today reported.
