Salman Khan tops in gangster Binshoi’s list of 10 targets

New Delhi: Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had prepared a list of 10 main targets he wanted to eliminate which included Bollywood actor Salman Khan, NDTV reported.

The gangster, who reportedly confessed his plans to the National Investigation Agency, further said that he wanted to avenge the actor’s controversial hunting of black buck in 1998.

He wanted to do away with the actor because the animal is considered to be sacred by the Bishnoi community and he want to get back at the actor for hurting ‘sentiments of the community’.

It is reported that Bishoi’s aide Sampat Nehra, whom Haryana police arrested, had ‘recce of Salman Khan's Mumbai residence’.

Actor Khan has been nagged over a couple of months with hoax calls issuing threat to his life.

The most recently on April 11 he received a threat call and the Mumbai police arrested a man for sending threat ‘email’ to him.

In the face of increasing threat against the actor, Mumbai police has given him Y+ category security.

Bishnoi, who is currently doing time in Tihar Jail, reportedly confessed to the agency that he had procured semi-automatic pistols in 2021 from the US through Goldie Brar.

Brar, who is based in Canada, previously claimed responsibility for the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala last year.

Bishnoi confessed to the police that he was also targeting Sidhu MooseWala’s manager Shagunpreet.

Lawrence Bishnoi was arrested by the Punjab police last year.
