RSS, Christian missionaries must work together to stop love, land jihad: BJP MP

Godda/ Jharkhand: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey contesting for the Godda Lok Sabha seat in Jharkhand claimed that the demography of the area changed with Adivasi population decreasing by 11% across the state, The Indian Express reported.

Nishikant Dubey told the outlet in an interview that the Bangladeshi Muslim population in the state has risen and alleged that the family of Alamgir Alam, the Congress leader who was arrested by Enforcement Directorate, provided them with citizenship.

Nishikant Dubey, who claimed to know one lakh people in his constituency by name, said it was about time for RSS and Christian missionaries to work together to save tribal people from ‘Bangladeshi love and land jihad’ and by Bangladeshi love he meant ‘love jihad’.

Mentioning the contentious issue of conversion that the BJP frequently raises, he said that ‘We will deal with the conversion issue within the tribal community later, but now is the time to save Adivasi culture.’

In order to support his stand for a joint work between the groups, he cited the example of how the RSS having worked with the CPI (M) and anti-Congress forces to save the country from dictatorship during the Emergency.

When asked about the complaints raised against him by people in Karaun area in his constituency of not doing enough for them, he said ‘I know at least one lakh people in my constituency by name and can recognise them by face’.

He compared PM Modi to a departmental store while calling himself a small grocery store, adding that whatever PM gave he would give to the constituency like a retailer. He claimed that PM Modi allotted schemes worth Rs 1.5 lakh crores.

Nishikant Dubey asked how many people have been sent to jail on account of abusing PM Modi on social media every day, adding further he asked whether anyone could tweet against Mamata Banerjee, Uddhav Thackeray or M K Stalin in their respective states.

He said that the BJP never even thought of amending the Constitution despite in power for 16 years including the six years under Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
