Bengaluru: Devotees who visited a temple in Karnataka's Raichur donated Rs 3,48,69,621 in cash, 32 grams of gold and 1.24 kg of silver.
A video showed over a hundred priests counting the donations at the Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Bengaluru, NDTV reported.
Lakhs of devotees, visiting the temple for the birth anniversary celebrations of Raghavendra Swamy, a revered 16th-century saint, made the offerings in over 30 days.
Among those visited the temple last year included former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, and his wife, Akshata Murty.
Accompanying their daughter and son-in-law, Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy and Rajya Sabha member Sudha Murthy performed aarti at the temple.
