Patna: A senior Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) leader, who was denied a constituency to contest in the assembly polls in Bihar, broke down outside the residence of his party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, India Today reported.
Madan Shah let out an emotional outburst in both anger and despair after discovering that he was denied ticket for the Madhuban Assembly constituency, which he was eyeing.
Shah tore his kurta, lay down on the road alongside crying out loud making a spectacle of himself outside Lalu Prasad’s residence.
As the senior leader vented out his emotion, a crowd gathered about him causing a chaos in the area.
A footage of his tantrums went viral on social media with many online debating alleged corruption in sharing the seats.
Shah alleged he was denied ticket for not paying money pointing to Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav, claiming that Yadav had “brokered” the seat for cash, thus giving the Madhuban seat to Dr Santosh Kushwaha.
‘The party has ignored honest and hardworking workers like me. They are now prioritising those with deep pockets,’ Shah said.
In another video showed Shah trying to chase Lalu Prasad Yadav's car outside his residence in Patna.
Security personnel removed Shah from the premises to restore order.
