Bengaluru: In an event organised by farmers' organisations in Bengaluru, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait got thrown with ink by miscreants on Monday, PTI reported.
At Gandhi Bhavan, where the event was organised, the ink throwing triggered clashes between organisers and the miscreants. Both factions started attacking each other with plastic chairs.
Reacting to the incident, Tikait alleged that the ink attack on him was in connivance with the state government.
Meanwhile, Tikait reacted to the ink throwing that the attack on him had the endorsement of Karnataka's BJP government. He told reporters that the local police were responsible for the attack.
He said, "The local police are responsible for it, and it happened due to the connivance of the government."
The black ink was visible on his turban, face, Kurta, and the green shawl he wore around his neck.
