Chennai: Actor Rajinikanth was admitted to a private hospital in Channai on Monday night, NDTV.
The 76-year-old is reported to undergo a heat-related procedure at the Apollo Hospital on Tuesday.
The hospital authorities or his family have not yet released any official statement on his health; however it is reported that his condition is stable.
The Tamil superstar is in the middle of working two films: Vettaiyan by Director Gnanavel Raja, to be released on October 10 and Coolie by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Rajinikanth previously received a kidney transplant in Singapore.
An actor with a huge fan base, Rajinikanth earlier decided to enter politics but opted out due to health issues.
