Protesting in Delhi, AAP demands JPC over Adani row

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party seeks a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into Adani Group’s alleged dealings.

This comes on the heels of the party’s vibrant protest and walkout in the Rajya Sabha earlier this week.

Highlighting its call for JPC AAP has planned to protest outside BJP headquarters on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg at noon, according to The Indian Express.

The protest bespeaks of AAP’s determination to take on the BJP more vigorously than before.

AAP chief Kejriwal never misses an opportunity to turn the business-end of his attack on the BJP.

Earlier, AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and K Keshav Rao of Bharat Rahstra Samithi submitted a suspension notice under Rule 267.

The duo demanded a discussion on the raging controversy involving Adani Group after the US based Hindenburg Research accused Adani Group of stock manipulation and improper use of offshore tax havens.

Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar rejected the suspension notice.

Dhankhar on Wednesday rejected another notice by Singh seeking discussion on the loss to public sector banks and LIC the related to Adani Group.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge demanded the BJP to set up a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe the row involving Adani Group.
