New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold seven meetings on Sunday to review the agenda for the new government’s first 100 days, hours before results are to be out,The Indian Express reported citing sources.
The brainstorming session will also evaluate the post-Cyclone Remal situation in the Northeastern states.
The meetings come just as the Exit polls last evening predicted resounding return of NDA to power.
“The first meeting to be held to review the post-cyclone situation, especially in the states of Northeast. Then, he will hold a meeting to review the heatwave situation in the country,” the source in the government was quoted as saying.
The meetings come after PM Modi returned from a 45-hour meditation at Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanniyakumari.
The meeting today will also review preparations for the grand celebration of World Environment Day on June 5.
“Then he will hold a long brainstorming session to review the agenda for 100-day of the new government,” the source reportedly said.
All major exit polls on Saturday predicted that the BJP’s NDA will win more than 300 seats again.
However, ten exit polls said that the NDA will not breach 400-seat mark that PM Modi announced it would win.
However, three exit polls predicted 400-plus seats for the NDA.
The results for Lok Sabha elections concluded on Saturday will be out on Tuesday, May 4.
