PM Modi arrives in France for 3-day visit, set to co-chair AI action summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in France on Monday for a three-day official visit, during which he will engage in high-level discussions and co-chair the AI Action Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron.

On his first evening in France, PM Modi will attend a special dinner hosted by President Macron at the Elysee Palace in honor of visiting Heads of Government and State. The event is expected to be attended by prominent CEOs from the technology sector and other distinguished guests participating in the AI summit.

The AI Action Summit, co-chaired by PM Modi and President Macron, will take place on Tuesday. The leaders will also hold bilateral discussions in both restricted and delegation-level formats and address the India-France CEO Forum, focusing on enhancing economic and technological partnerships.

On Wednesday, PM Modi and President Macron will travel to Marseille to visit the Mazargues War Cemetery, a site maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Here, they will pay tribute to Indian soldiers who fought in World War I.

Additionally, the two leaders will inaugurate the newest Indian Consulate General in Marseille, further strengthening diplomatic ties between India and France.

Later, they will visit Cadarache, home to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER)—one of the most ambitious global scientific projects aimed at advancing nuclear fusion technology.

This marks PM Modi’s sixth visit to France, reflecting the deepening strategic and economic partnership between the two nations. Following his engagements in France, the Prime Minister will travel to the United States, continuing his two-nation diplomatic tour.
