Keonjhar/ Odisha: A man in Odisha’s Keonjhar district was charged for thrashing her mother after she allegedly plucked a cauliflower from his farm.
The man allegedly tied her to an electric pole and thrashed despite villagers intervened, India Today reported.
The 70-year-old woman ate the vegetable she plucked from her younger son's farm in Sarasapasi village.
An argument broke out between them before the man allegedly attacked her.
When the villagers intervened, the man threatened them; however, eventually they rescued her.
She was taken to the Basudevpur Community Health Centre for treatment, the villagers told the police.
A case was filed against her son under relevant sections, said IIC Trinath sethy.
