Ahead of the release of Laal Singh Chaddha's next song 'Phir Na Aisi Raat Aayegi', Aamir Khan said that there is no such thing as an old-fashioned or new-fashioned song. "It is just a good or bad song".
The crew released a short video of behind the scene conversations between music composer Pritam, lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya, and actor Aamir Khan.
The lead actor is heard addressing Pritam's concerns about the song's vibe. He told the composer to not worry about the song sounding old-fashioned. The video was uploaded on the Instagram page of Aamir khan Productions. It was captioned: "We couldn't agree more! When you are honest to the tune, magic happens".
Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Bollywood adaptation of the Tom Hanks-starrer Hollywood film Forrest Gump. The iconic 1994 comedy-drama film is based on the novel by Winston Groom. The plot deals with the life of a slow-witted, kindhearted man from Alabama.
From the trailer, Laal Singh Chaddha appears to be very similar to the original Hollywood movie. A few songs from the movie are also out but without the video. Aamir Khan said the team wants the audience to focus on the music rather than the video.
The trailer was at the receiving end of criticism which has prompted Aamir Khan to rework it and add some drama and humour to it. Sources associated with the film told Bollywood Hungama that the actor is personally invested in all aspects of the film.
The film is set to release on August 11. It also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya.
