"No lawyers, no apology, no fine, no waste of time," Kunal on SC contempt proceedings

New Delhi: The stand-up comedian seems to be in no mood to compromise his stance as his response to the contempt proceedings against his tweets shows. After Attorney-General KK Venugopal granted permission on Thursday to initiate contempt proceedings against the artist over his tweets about the Supreme Court in the wake of its order granting interim bail to Arnab Goswami, he posted a letter in Twitter with a comment: "No lawyers, no apology, no fine, no waste of time."

In the letter posted, the 32 year-old artist, followed by 1.7 million Twitter handles, said that he had tweeted his view of the apex court giving a partial decision in favour of a "Prime Time Loudspeaker".

The artist also said that he may volunteer to allot the time of Supreme Court for his hearing to other important issues.

Kunal had criticized the Supreme Court ordeal with Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami's interim bail plea in a series of tweets.
