No govt seems to be existing in Bangladesh: BJP

Kolkata: Former national vice-president of BJP and former Lok Sabha member from West Bengal Dilip Ghosh, on Monday, said that it seems no government exists in Bangladesh.

He said that if Bangladesh moves in the same direction of a strong anti-India stand it will also face the same consequences as Pakistan.

“Bangladesh, which is surviving on the mercy of India, does not seem to foresee their future,” Ghosh said while interacting with media persons at Kharagpur in the West Midnapore district of West Bengal on Monday afternoon, a video of which he had uploaded on his social media wall.

Ghosh launched a scathing attack against the Chief Advisor of the interim Bangladesh government Muhammad Yunus and described the latter as an ardently corrupt person lacking any experience in running the administration.

“If an upstart gives the power to the student leaders, how can an effective administration be achieved,” said Ghosh.

Earlier in the day the Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly accused the Chief Minister of “attempting” to downplay the atrocities against minority Hindus in neighbouring Bangladesh by claiming that rumours are being spread about the Bangladesh crisis by circulating fake videos.

“Is she trying to say that whatever the information is surfacing from Bangladesh on the current situation such information is all wrong,” he said.

Adhikari also threatened that Dassault Rafale jets are waiting at Hasimara air base in West Bengal and even if one such jet flies to Bangladesh, the game will be over for Bangladesh.

“Bangladesh has a tradition of assault on Hindu monks, which is evident again from the arrest of ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das. But as I heard about him, he will not bow in the face of any attack or imprisonment,” said Adhikari.
