'Nikon camera with Canon cover': BJP attacks TMC's "morphed" pic of Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi's 72 nd birthday on Saturday turned out to be just another day for BJP and its rival Trinamool Congress to lock horns after images of the prime minister clicking photos of cheetahs in Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park emerged.

PM Modi appeared in style for the special day wearing safari hat, sunglasses and photographer's vest to capture on his professional camera the cheetahs that were released into a special enclosure in the park.

The Trinamool Congress was in no mood to let the day pass without some quirky event accompanying, and they reportedly had the photo of Modi morphed to make fun of him.

TMC MP Jawhar Sircar shared a morphed image of PM Modi taking a photo, captioning "Keeping the lid on all statistics is one thing, but keeping the cover on the camera lens is sheer far- sightedness."

But BJP as alert as ever was quick to pick holes in Trinamool's idea of morphing the PM Modi's photo; slamming Sircar, Bengal BJP president Sukanta Majumdar said the image showed a Nikon camera with a Canon lens cap.

Sukanta Majumdar tweeted that TMC Rajya Sabha MP shared an edited image of Nikon camera with canon cover. He added that the lawamaker's made bad attempt to spread fake propaganda, and asked Mamata Banerjee to hire someone better with some common sense.
