Nashik TCS case: Nida Khan arrested in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after bail rejection

Nashik: Nida Khan, accused in the Nashik TCS sexual harassment and religious coercion case, was arrested on Thursday in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik confirmed.

Khan, named in Deolali Camp Police Station FIR 156/26, was apprehended with help from local police and the crime branch. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing nine cases of molestation, harassment, forceful conversion attempts, and religious coercion at TCS's Nashik unit had launched statewide searches for her. Eight others, including a female operations manager, are already in custody.

Allegations against Khan include targeting female employees via WhatsApp, pressuring them to pray, eat non-vegetarian food, dress per Islamic traditions, and adopt religious practices like dietary changes and symbols. Victims reported coercion despite knowing one complainant's Scheduled Caste status, leading to charges under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for sexual harassment and defamation, plus the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Khan's anticipatory bail plea—filed April 18 citing pregnancy—was rejected by a Nashik court on May 2.
