New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu will land in Karnataka on Monday and will spend time there till the 28th of this month to attend a number of programmes chartered, PTI reported citing a Sunday statement released by the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The visit will be Murmu's first one to any state after taking the President's office.
On Monday, she will open the Dasara festival at Chamundi Hills in Mysuru. She will also attend a felicitation function, 'Pour Sanmana', conducted by Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation in Hubli, as per the statement. Her Monday schedule also includes the inauguration of the new campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology in Dharwad.
On Tuesday, she will inaugurate the Integrated Cryogenic Engines Manufacturing Facility of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in Bengaluru. She will also lay the foundation stone of the Zonal Institute of Virology (South Zone) in a virtual session.
The statement further said that the President would also attend the inaugural function of St Joseph's University as well as a civic reception hosted by the government of Karnataka in her honour in Bengaluru.
She will reach back to New Delhi on September 28.
