Missing for four years: campaign for Najeeb on Twitter today

New Delhi: Four years have passed since Najeeb Ahmed, first year biotechnology student of JNU, went missing mysteriously.

The night before Najeeb disappeared from hostel on 15 October, 2016, he was beaten up by ABVP workers.

Najeeb's mother Fatima Nafees has for the past four years been approaching courts, and protesting on waysides in her efforts to trace her son, however she remains inconsolable, and justice denied.

Soon after his disappearance, this homemaker headed from her UP village on a long distance train to the national capital. There began her battle for the son.

After a long-drawn legal tussle , the probe has been handed over to CBI; however, the agency remains clueless even now.

In the meantime, Fatima found herself at the forefront of many protests in Delhi.

She fought legally the fake news of Najeeb joining ISIS.

Four years on, Fatima Nafees called for a campaign on Twitter on Thursday night at 7 pm seeking justice with the hashtag "where is Najeeb?"
