New Delhi: Actor-activist Swara Bhasker marrying Samajwadi party leader Fahad Ahmad has started another series of discourses of hate speech, reports Hindustan Times.
HT writes that Ayodhya Mahant Raju Das gave Swara an ultimatum on her marriage to a Muslim. According to him, if Swara was an empowered woman, she would not have required a marriage itself.
He then made the weird statement that he congratulated her if what she wants is to spend nights with "1,000 men". She got wed into a community where brothers and sisters get married and then says talaq, Raju Das claimed.
He further said that Swara Bhasker has publically said "Insha Allah" and "Bharat tere tukde honge". She married a person she called "bhai" for 10 days "and asked him to get married soon", he said.
Next in line to respond was VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi. She referred to the Shraddha Walker case, in which a girl was strangled to death, chopped into pieces and dumped in a Delhi forest by her live-in partner. Prachi claimed that Swara would also face the same end.
"Probably, Swara Bhasker didn't pay attention to the news of how Shraddha's body was chopped into 35 pieces. She should have seen the fridge once before taking such a big decision. It is her personal choice. I have nothing much to say. But what happened to Shraddha can happen to Swara too," Prachi was quoted by HT.
Meanwhile, Swara's husband, Fahad, reacted to the trolls with spirit. On trolls on the 'bhai' tweet by Swara, he said that at least 'sanghis' are able to accept that a Hindu and a Muslim could remain brother and sister. The said tweet by Swara was on the occasion of Fahad's birthday.
It was on February 16 Swara and Fahad announced their marriage under the Special Marriage Act, which allows interfaith marriages in India.
