Shahjahanpur/ Uttar Pradesh: A transport businessman in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur allegedly had his 32-year-old manager beaten to death on suspicion of theft.
The body of the manager, identified as Shivam Johri, was later found dumped outside a government hospital, NDTV reported.
A disturbing footage of the incident showed Shivam, tied to a pole, twitching with pain as a man hit him with a rod.
After the video went viral police charged seven people, including the transport businessman, with murder.
Police said that Shivam's body was dumped at the medical college here on Tuesday night.
After finding injuries on the body police started probe, despite his family claimed that the man died of electrocution.
Shivam, according to the police, had been working with the transport businessman Bankim Suri for the past seven years.
After a package of business Kanhiya Hosiery went missing, several employees at the transport office including Shivam were suspected of theft and beaten up.
The seven accused in the murder includes Neeraj Gupta, who is the owner of Kanhiya Hosiery.
Meanwhile, police have seized a car linked to the crime from the premises of Kanhiya Hosiery.
