Bengaluru: In a fresh development, the brother of sex crimes accused former MP Prajwal Revanna, Suraj Revanna, has been named in a sexual assault case filed by a man against him.
In the case filed by the man, he alleged that Suraj Revanna, an MLC from Janata Dal (Secular), sexually assaulted him at his farmhouse on June 16, India Today reported.
According to the complainant, Suraj had invited him to his farmhouse, and he forcefully kissed him and bit his lips and cheeks. Suraj also threatened to kill him if he didn't cooperate, the man alleged.
The man's complaint read, "Suraj told me you're alone in this farmhouse. You don't know about me and our family. He threatened to kill me if I didn't cooperate."
The man continued that Suraj sexually assaulted him, and then he told him that he would help him grow in politics in the district.
He further said that he texted Suraj about the incident later, but Suraj told him not to worry and that everything would be fine in his reply.
However, Suraj Revanna and his acquaintance Shivakumar had filed a complaint earlier on Saturday alleging that two people had been blackmailing them over a false sexual assault allegation.
Following this, a JD(S) worker and his kin were booked for allegedly trying to extort money from Suraj. Sivakumar filed the complaint on Friday, based on which an FIR was registered against a person named Chethan K S and his brother-in-law.
Suraj Revanna is the son of Holenarasipura MLA H D Revanna and the elder brother of former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, who is in police custody for allegedly sexually assaulting several women.
