Police are looking for a man who disguised himself as a priest and attacked a leader of Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada district.
Former MP Seshagiri Rao Polnati was attacked with a sharp weapon on Thursday morning at 6.30, according to India Today.
The incident was captured on a CCTV camera at Sheshagiri's residence in Tuni city in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada district.
Police officials are yet to trace the identity of the attacker.
Police said that a man dressed like a priest entered the house of TDP leader and former MP Seshagiri Rao Polnati and attacked him with a sharp weapon, injuring him.
After the attack the man immediately fled the spot.
A case has been registered. The accused is absconding, and further investigations are underway, police added.
