Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government, ahead of the upcoming elections, has made an announcement that it will provide LPG gas cylinders at a subsidised rate of Rs 450 as part of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana starting from September 1.
The state government will cover the remaining cost of the gas cylinder.
As per the government's statement, all consumers registered under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and non-Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana category, who are also registered under the Ladli Behna Yojana with gas connections in their names, will be eligible for this benefit.
Starting September 1, 2023, eligible consumers will receive a subsidy on each refill every month. They will be required to purchase refills at the market rate from the oil company.
Any difference between the subsidy provided by the Government of India and the market rate set by the state government will be credited to the bank accounts of eligible consumers. If there are changes in the market rate for domestic LPG refills, the state subsidy will be adjusted accordingly.
The Ladli Bahana beneficiaries who already possess a gas connection will be registered on the Ladli Bahna Yojana portal. These individuals may also qualify as beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Registration will take place at all centers designated for the Ladli Bahna Yojana, with the required documents including the gas connection consumer number and LPG connection ID. A registration ID for the Ladli Bahna Yojana will be generated based on data received from all oil companies for beneficiary identification.
Information regarding registered beneficiaries will be available on the portal from September 25, 2023, and will be periodically updated.
Registered beneficiaries can access this information on the portal from September 25, 2023, using their gas consumer number/gas connection ID and Ladli Behna ID.
