Lip lock video: 8 students charged with POSCO following girl's complaint

Mangalore: Eight college students in their teens are said to have been arrested after a video of a lip lock kissing students in uniform went viral. The accused teens are said to be the students of Mangalore's St Aloysius college.

The boys were charged after the girl seen in the video told the police said that the boys had sexually assaulted her and other girl seen in the video.

In the complaint filed with the police, the girl said that the accused boys had sexually assaulted both the girls several times, threatening with this video clip.

The video is believed to have been taken six months ago when these students gathered at a private flat near Light House Hill Road in Mangalore. The girl said that she knew the boys and had a physical relationship with one of them, but other boys blackmailed her using the video.

According to the police, the kiss between the students were part of a "truth or dare" game.

Three separate cases have been registered against 8 students under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the IT Act.

The police allege that the college administration knew of the incident, but didn't bring it to their notice.
