New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal ‘s wife Sunita Kejriwal on Wednesday said that her husband will make a big revelation in the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam.
Kejriwal, who was arrested last week by the Enforcement Directorate, has been remanded to the judicial custody till April 9.
The major political development in the run-up-to the Lok Sabha polls has caused widespread protest from Kerjiwal’s party , galvanizing the opposition.
In a reply to Kejriwal’s critics, his wife said that the Chief Minister would reveal the location of ‘money from the so-called liquor scam’, according to NDTV.
‘Arvindji told me that in the past two years they (probe agencies like the ED) conducted 250 raids in this so-called liquor policy case. He told me that they are searching for the money from this so-called scam... but so far they have not recovered a single paise of illegal money,’ she was quoted as saying.
She added that the agency raided places belonging to ex-Deputy Chief Minister Manish, Sanjay Singh and former Health Minister Satyendar Jain but did not find ‘ even one paise’.
Sisodia and Singh have been in jail since they were both arrested last year in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam.
Kejriwal was arrested last week after a Delhi court refused protection from arrest.
She claimed the ED raided their home but found only ₹ 73,000, adding, ‘So where is all this money from the so-called liquor scam? Arvindji has said he will reveal everything in court (tomorrow).’
Sunita Kejriwal also said that Chief Minister Kejriwal has ‘proof’, adding that ‘ the whole country will bear witness’.
She came down on the BJP leaders for criticizing Kejriwal’s orders from jail, after they called them ‘unconstitutional’.
