The court granted him six weeks of bail after his counsel presented medical reports, while requesting for the bail to undergo spine surgery.
The counsel said that Darshan was experiencing numbness in both feet requiring surgery at a private facility in Mysuru.
While allowing him the bail, the court directed the actor to comply with the conditions it set.
Darshan, who was arrested in June along with others in connection with the case, was initially lodged in Bengaluru before being transferred to Ballari Prison.
The actor has to surrender his passport to avoid flight risk and submit details of his medical treatment within a week.
Renukaswamy, a fan of Darshan’s, allegedly sent inappropriate messages to the actor’s friend and co-accused, Pavithra Gowda.

It is reported that another accused in the case Raghavendra lured the victim to a shed in RR Nagar convincing him that the actor liked to meet him.
Renukaswamy was reported to be tortured to death and a post-mortem report concluded that he died of shock and haemorrhage from injuries.
