Judicial custody of Manish Sisodia extended again in liquor policy case

On Monday, a Delhi court extended the judicial custody of former Delhi deputy chief minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia, who is implicated in a corruption case related to the alleged liquor policy scam.

Special judge for the CBI and ED, Kaveri Baweja, extended Sisodia's custody until July 22. This decision came after he was presented before the court via video conference as his previous judicial custody term expired.

Earlier, on April 30, the court had dismissed Sisodia's bail pleas in both corruption and money laundering cases filed by the CBI and ED in connection to the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam. The court had reserved its order following arguments from both the CBI, ED, and Sisodia's legal counsel.
