Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has said that his life is in the hands of God amid reports of continuing threats to his life.

The 59-year-old actor was attending a promotional event for his upcoming movie Sikandar, when he responded to a question about the threats he was facing.

The actor nonchalantly said ‘Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai’ meaning ‘It's all up to God, Allah. What is written is written. That's all’.

The actor, however, pointed to the discomfort the security cover brought on him following threats and a shooting incident near his Mumbai apartment.

‘Sometimes, having to move around with so many people becomes a problem,’ he told the press meet.

Raising concerns about the actor’s safety, two bike-borne men in April last year fired multiple shots outside his Galaxy Apartments in Bandra.

The investigation revealed that the shooting, carried out by Lawrence Bishnoi gang members, was aimed at intimidating the actor.

The gangster, who is doing time in a prison in Gujarat, began targeting the actor following the 1998 blackbuck shooting case involving the actor.

The gangster reportedly said that Bishnoi community considers blackbuck sacred and the actor hurt the community’s feelings.

Set for releasing on Sunday, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, has Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal and Sharman Joshi in major roles.
