Indore: The mayor of Indore mandated the restaurants and mall owners here to install replicas of the Ram Temple and allegedly threatened them with dire consequences if they failed to do so. The installation was supposed to be on the occasion of Ram Temple's inauguration in Ayodhya, Siasat reports.
The mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav, allegedly made a controversial statement that if malls and restaurants could install an X-mas tree or a Santa Claus on Christmas, why they are objecting to the installation of the Ram Temple on the day of its inauguration.
He issued a threat that if any of them failed to do so, "the citizens of Indore will teach them a lesson," Siasat quotes.
"It is the work of Ram Ji. It's the work of Ram Rajya, and I refuse to think that anybody should have any objection to installing the replicas," Saisat quoted.
