India's mango man names two new varieties after Sushmita Sen, Amit Shah

Lucknow: Well-known horticulturist Haji Kalimullah Khan has named two of his new hybrid mangoes after beauty queen Sushmita Sen and the home minister Amit Shah.

Khan previously gifted to the world two delicious kings of fruits naming them after 'Aishwarya' and 'Sachin'.

Sushmita Aam and Amit Shah Aam were developed and cultivated at his orchard in Malihabad, Uttar Pradesh, India Today reported.

The horticulturalists have christened the curvy mango as a former Miss Universe and Bollywood actor for being lovely on the inside and outside like Sushmita Sen with her charity works and adoption of two daughters.

Alongside wishing her beauty to be always in the world, Khan wanted her to be remembered as a good-hearted person, according to the report.

Another new hybrid mango was given the name of Home Minister Amit Shah. Khan reportedly said that he had put a lot of effort into the mango's development, which is now so tasty that people would say it is indeed "Amit Shah".

Khan was awarded the Padma Shri in 2008 for contributing to horticulture and preserving varieties of mangoes.
