Indians in conflict zones priority; give BJP 3rd term in Centre: Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised on Sunday that securing the lives of fellow Indians in conflict zones will be the priority of the BJP-led NDA if elected to power for a third time. As elections are around, Modi made the comment to boost his party's campaigns, cashing the conflicts in West Asia as well as the one in Eastern Europe, Asian News International reported.

In recent strikes carried out by Iran on Israel, launching more than projectiles, tensions are inching to a tipping point in West Asia.

The PM was speaking at the launch of the BJP's manifesto, which promised the international Ramayana festival as well as the Uniform Civil Code. During his speech, he claimed that the BJP should return to power after the polls with a large majority so that it could face global challenges and rescue trapped and distressed Indians in conflict zones. He reminded that parts of the world are on the brink of war.

He said that clouds of uncertainty are hovering over the world now, where regions are staring at a war-like situation, with the world in tension and with no peace.

"In such times, ensuring the safety and security of our citizens becomes a priority and a paramount task for any government that comes in. Hence, the safety of our people will be the top priority for our government if we return for another term," ANI quoted the PM.

He said that the BJP is determined to make India economically stronger and more resilient to global challenges, along with making fast strides to take the country to its "eventual goal of a 'Viksit Bharat". He claimed that their manifesto promises were the same.

Currently, the world is witnessing multiple conflicts involving global superpowers. The conflict in Gaza between Hamas and Israel, the newly erupted armed tensions between Israel and Iran and finally, the European conflict of the Russian offensive in Ukraine.
