Indian techie shot dead during pizza delivery in Philadelphia

Philadelphia: A 28-year-old Indian man from Hyderabad was shot dead while delivering a pizza in Philadelphia, with his family alleging that he was lured into a carefully planned trap and deliberately targeted.

The victim, Anshul Kuncha, was employed at a multinational company in Philadelphia and worked part-time as a pizza delivery driver on weekends to earn additional income. The fatal attack occurred shortly after he completed a late-night delivery.

According to family members, Anshul was called to a deserted location where he was ambushed by armed attackers. His sister, Tanvi, believes the killing was premeditated rather than a random act of violence. The family was informed that he suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head before being abandoned on the roadside.

Relatives have rejected the possibility of a robbery attempt, noting that no money or valuable belongings were reported missing. They insist the attackers' objective was to kill him and have demanded a thorough investigation into the motive behind the crime.

Reports in US media suggest that two armed suspects wearing black masks and carrying backpacks may have been involved. However, authorities have not yet confirmed the exact circumstances of the killing or the number of attackers.

The tragic death has shocked the Indian community and prompted calls for justice. The Indian Consulate in New York confirmed Anshul's death and expressed condolences to his family. It said officials are in constant contact with relatives and are providing all necessary assistance.

Meanwhile, the grieving family has urged Indian authorities to help expedite the repatriation of Anshul's body to Hyderabad. While they say they do not personally suspect anyone, they are demanding that investigators uncover the truth behind the killing and bring those responsible to justice.
