New Delhi: Union Minister Anurag Thakur claimed that a "huge wave" is going on in Gujarat and his party, BJP, will break records and form the government in the state once again, PTI reported.
He further claimed that the BJP-led NDA government in the Centre will "come back to power in 2024" under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, winning more than 400 parliamentary seats.
In his address at BJP's 'Gaurav Yatra' in Malvan village in Gujarat's Valsad district, he said that PM Modi stood at the helm and brought honour to Hindu symbols as well as made the Ayodhya Ram temple a reality.
"There is a huge BJP wave in Gujarat, and this time, the party will break all records," Anurag Thakur said.
He did not forget to aim kicks at the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party. He alleged that an "Italian woman" used to insult PM Modi earlier but now, "an Italia is insulting his mother".
PTI reports that though he named none, he must be targeting Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was born in Italy, and the AAP's Gujarat unit head Gopal Italia.
"Earlier an Italian woman used to insult Prime Minister Narendra Modi, now an Italia is insulting his mother," the Union minister of youth affairs and sports said.
He claimed that Gujarat did not accept this "insult" earlier, and it will not accept it now. "Gujarat will give a befitting reply," he claimed.
Later, he praised PM Modi for launching digital banking units and said it would further ease the process of banking for the public.
