Home Minister thanks Prime Minister for unveiling a Netaji hologram statue at India Gate

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for unveiling the hologram statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at the India Gate in the national capital on Sunday.

In light of Sunday's 125th birthday of Netaji, Shah pointed out that in 2021, Modi announced that Netaji's birthday be celebrated as 'Parakram Diwas' (Day of Valour), and that the Republic Day celebration will commence from January 23 instead of January 24.

In response to the Prime Minister's decision to install a grand statue at India Gate in celebration of Netaji's 125th birthday, the Union Home Minister said this is part of Netaji's 125th birthday celebrations.

Shah stated that, "Netaji's statue will inspire the coming generations for valour, patriotism and sacrifice for many years and it will be an expression of feeling for Netaji in the minds of crores of people of the country. His journey from Kolkata to Berlin through Japan was a great effort to liberate India and this statue will symbolise that emotion."

Millions of Indians will today be able to enjoy peace of mind because Netaji's contribution in the freedom struggle has finally been recognized by the nation after so many years, the Union Home Minister asserted.

In addition to the slogan 'Chalo Dilli', there are stories of Netaji's struggle for independence that inspire youth even today. Many youth will move forward with the inspiration of his personality in the days to come, he said.

Taking no names, Shah emphasized that the former government had contributed to erasing the names of those who had fought valiantly in the country's freedom struggle.

As part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav' today, he said, "the whole nation is feeling satisfied and excited about the decision made to install a statue of Netaji."

Shah said the PM's decision to establish an award for Netaji in the country will motivate all those involved in disaster management to work during an emergency period.
