Hindutva leader urges Hindus to demolish Darul Uloom if Govt fails to do it

Hindutva leader Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati has urged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to run a bulldozer over the Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband after an answer about 'Ghazwa-e-Hind' on its website triggered controversy.

Yati also urged all Hindus to come forward to demolish the Islamic seminary if the government fails to take action. Though a probe into the controversy has begun, no action has been taken by the UP police against Yati for instigating violence and spreading hate against another community through a video.

However, Darul Uloom denied that it issued a fatwa, clarifying that it was responding to a question about a hadith concerning 'Ghazwa-e-Hind,' an issue that is subject to debate even among Muslim scholars.

Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati alleged that it glorifies martyrdom in the context of India's invasion and constitutes an official call for the killing of Hindus. In a video message released on Friday, February 23, Saraswati urged Chief Minister Adityanath to demolish Darul Uloom Deoband with bulldozers, describing it as an ideological centre of terrorism.

Addressing Adityanath directly, Saraswati stated that "You are the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. We want you to become Prime Minister one day. They have called for the killing of 100 crore Hindus."

He further called upon Hindu leaders to take action and warned that if they fail to do so, Hindus themselves should take the initiative to demolish the seminary.
