Hindus do not have a violent mentality unlike other religions: Pejawar Seer

Unlike people of other religions, Hindus do not have a mob and violent mentality, claimed Pejawar Seer Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji on Saturday. The government must act before the situation gets out of control, he added, referring to the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh and Kashmir.
Incidents of violence will take place if a single word is uttered against certain religions but Hindus do not have that violent mindset, he said. It is incorrect to subject Hindus to harassment thinking that they do nothing and keep quiet, he claimed.
The government must control the situation if it doesn't want the people to take the law into their hands. They must ensure the safety of all in society and not just those belonging to one religion. Instead, all people of all religions must live in peace, he said.
He warned that if the government does not act, there would be communal clashes and violence. It won't be possible to stop it once it breaks out, he added.
Communal issues, though discussed during elections, gradually fade out. In order to win votes from particular castes, politicians issue statements that affect the harmony in society. This should not happen, he said.
He further expressed happiness that the foundation of the Ram mandir at Ayodhya would have granite stones from Doddaballapur region in Karnataka. "It is a matter of pride and honour for the people of Karnataka," he said.
