"Allah hu Akbar" is still trending in the news after a college girl in Bangalore confronted a crowd during protests that broke out over a hijab row by shouting "Allah hu Akbar."
Zeeshan Siddique, a Maharashtra State Congress MLA from Bandra, came all the way from Mumbai to visit Muskan's residence in Mandya city on Friday evening. He appreciated her "courage", assured her support, and gave her a watch and an iPhone.
In his statement, he stated, "I came a long way to meet this courageous girl from our community. I am happy that she acted with such courage.".
It has become a matter of great pride for the entire state of Karnataka. She has shown what it means to be a woman. Her act has inspired other women who are being pressured, harassed, and treated unfairly to confront such acts," he said.
"You have a problem with a person's hijab or with the fact that she is getting educated," the Congress MLA said. "Wear Hijab is a constitutional right. One can wear clothes of her choice." Zeeshan Siddique added.
Muskaan has crores of brothers supporting her right to wear a hijab. I was delighted to meet her family." he concluded.
An alleged group of students heckled Muskaan Khan, a student at the PES College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Mandya for wearing a burka.
Additionally, a complaint has been filed against Muskaan in connection with the announcement of a cash prize. Various Muslim organizations have announced cash rewards for her act.
