Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court has extended until January 16 the stay on the arrest of Mohammad Zubair, co-founder of Alt News, in connection with an FIR filed against him by the Ghaziabad Police. The FIR accuses Zubair of promoting enmity between religious groups and other related offenses. The case stemmed from a complaint lodged by an associate of the controversial priest, Yati Narsinghanand.
A bench comprising Justices Siddhartha Varma and Dr. YK Srivastava decided to extend the stay on Zubair’s arrest until January 16. The FIR was originally filed in October of the previous year.
