New Delhi: Four of the five Indians on the passenger plane that crashed in Nepal’s Pokhara were friends on a holiday to the Himalayan country.
Dilip Verma, a common friend of them, has come out after initial shock to speak about his friends.
Vishal Sharma, Sonu Jaiswal, Anil Rajbhar and Abhishek Kushwaha are residents of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, India Today reported.
They updated Dilip Verma about their travel plans after offering prayers at the Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu.
On a video chat with him, they reportedly said they had plans to take a bus to Pokhara.
But they changed plans and boarded the fateful plane instead, which took the four friends to an early grave.
The Yeti Airlines passenger plane carrying 72 people onboard crashed in Nepal's Pokhara on Sunday, killing the crew and the passengers including the five Indians.
Dilip Verma revealed that it was Sonu Jaiswal who went live on Facebook showing the last moments of the flight.
Sonu Jaiswal who is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son ran a wine shop.
Anil Kumar Rajbhar (28) ran a Jan Sewa Kendra, while Abhishek Kushwaha (25) also kept a shop.
The youngest of the four, Vishal Sharma, 23, managed the finance department of a two-wheeler showroom.
Sanjay Jaiswal (26), the fifth Indian to die in the crash, was from Bihar.
He was on the way to Pokhara to meet his sister who had a baby recently.
The twin-engine ATR 72 aircraft, flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara, crashed before landing at the newly opened airport.
Kathmandu Post reported that rescuers retrieved 68 bodies from the debris and a search for the remaining four continues.
