New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi extended his support by inviting a group of farmers from Haryana's Sonepat district for lunch at his mother Sonia Gandhi's 10 Janpath residence on Friday.
This gesture comes a week after his visit to the Madina village in Sonepat, where he interacted with the farmers and assured them of his support.
During his visit to the village on July 8, Rahul Gandhi actively participated in various farming activities, symbolizing his solidarity with the agricultural community. He planted paddy saplings, operated a tractor, and even shared a meal with the farmers in their fields.
The Congress leader listened attentively to their concerns and discussed the challenges they face in the current agricultural scenario.
Rahul Gandhi's lunch with the farmers reflects his commitment to understanding their issues first-hand. By inviting them to his residence, he provided a platform for open dialogue and strengthened his bond with the farming community.
Rahul Gandhi has been a vocal advocate for farmers' rights and has consistently supported their demands for fair remuneration, improved access to resources, and protection against agrarian distress. His ongoing efforts to connect with farmers across the country have garnered attention and admiration from various sections of society.
