Mumbai: It seems BJP and rebel Shiva Sena faction have built quite a rapport over the past few days of the state's political crisis.
Devendra Fadnavis of BJP said he never felt Shiv Sena and BJP were two separate parties.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra was on Saturday addressing a meeting of Shinde camp at Hotel Taj President in Mumbai.
"The family reunited" he said, adding that all lawmakers who closed ranks with BJP have brought along Bal Thackeray's ideology in the true sense, according to India Today.
The former BJP chief minister called for working together to bring about the past glory of Maharashtra.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said they have fulfilled Bal Thackeray's dream bringing to power the Shiv Sena-BJP government.
Shinde said several things in the last few years have brought down Shiv Sena's image, creating uneasiness among Shiv Sainiks.
The Chief Minister said he had tried to explain the situation to his party leadership which they failed to understand.
As he thanked BJP leadership for giving a Shiv Sainik to become Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Shinde was quoted as saying "Now Devendra Fadnavis is with us and he has tremendous experience".
