Chennai: The DMK has launched a sharp attack against actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay over the Karur tragedy, releasing a poster depicting him “bathing in blood” while dressed in the uniform of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
The poster, shared by the DMK’s IT Wing on social media platform X, shows a graphic image of Vijay wearing an RSS uniform with a shawl in the colours of the TVK flag, standing with his back turned. The image also features red handprints, symbolising blood stains. The post was shared with the hashtag #JusticeForKarurVictims.
In its post, the DMK accused Vijay of insulting the victims of the Karur disaster. It mocked the actor for not visiting Karur even 20 days after the tragedy, sarcastically asking whether his “script wasn’t ready yet.”
The DMK further questioned Vijay’s explanation for not visiting the site, asking if the old excuse of not getting permission was still what he planned to say.
