New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Monday thanked local volunteer Mohammed Junaid for providing food and drinks to participants as the CJP’s sit-in at Jantar Mantar entered its third day.
The protest, organised in response to the NEET (UG) paper leak, demands the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. A video shared on X showed Dipke touching Junaid’s feet and embracing him as he thanked the volunteer for distributing snack boxes and juice to demonstrators.
Dipke invited fellow protesters to applaud Junaid’s service. One protester was heard saying, “This is what they want to ruin, but we will not let them,” reflecting the participants’ resolve.
Speaking to the crowd, Junaid stressed unity across communities, saying in Hindi that Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians are “brothers” and that the movement seeks to protect students’ futures and improve India’s education system. Demonstrators responded with chants demanding Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.
Junaid called the sit-in a collective struggle rather than an individual fight and urged continued efforts to bring change to the country’s education framework, concluding with the slogan “Inquilaab zindabad.”
