After over a month of battling a rising number of COVID cases, Delhi recorded 3,846 new cases on Wednesday, the lowest single-day spike since April 5, when it recorded 3,548 cases. The daily positivity rate is now at 5.78 per cent. With this, the total covid tally in the capital city surges to 1,406,719.
The tally of active cases has come down the 50,000 mark to 45,047, and recoveries increased to 13,39,326 cases. The total death toll in the city is now at 22,246, with the city reporting 235 new deaths on Wednesday. The overall improvement could be credited to the lockdown in place in the capital since April 19.
